Ella in the fairy tales had shoes to die for; in real life, though, according to this re-imagination, the famous glass slippers were to die FROM.And you surely didn't think glass shoes would be comfortable, did you?
As in the first novel in the series, our protagonist twists and turns forever in the requirements for breaking her curse. All she has to do is kill someone and deliver the heart to the coven who cursed her. How could she guess her intended victim would turn out to be a friend?
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, and can't wait for the next one, "Forever Scarlett."

I read the first book in the series and I thought "well this looks like it might be good"
Boy was I wrong! I'm not sure what the storyline is anymore but it's not very well written and the plot is a mess. The idea behind the book is a solid one but the delivery isn't great.
I read the first in this series, and was taken by how well V.B. Marlow writes. Her characters are well built, she's very descriptive without sounding robotic, and the stories come together well. Her main character, Ella, is really quite charming. I am thoroughly enjoying the books. The only problem I noticed, and it's very minor, is that there are several places that need better editing. There are a couple of misspellings or words used incorrectly, but nothing major. Overall, another good story.
